Transform Your Life: People of the Towel (download)
What happens when the Top Down model of the world butts up again the Bottom Up model of The Kingdom? This week we look at how Jesus responds to a basic, dirty, need -- even though He is the most important person around, and how we ought to respond to such needs ourselves.
Jon Teague, 3/14/2010
Transform Your Life: A Forgotten Hunger (download)
In a world devoted to ‘best practices’ it is remarkable that one ‘best practice’ that Jesus both engaged in personally and assumed His disciples would employ, is all but forgotten today. Fasting is likely the least utilized ‘best practice’ of the Christian life… even though Jesus explained that a lack of fasting results in spiritual anemia. This week we will take a closer look at how a little hunger can be spiritually fulfilling!
Brad Brinson, 3/7/2010
Transform Your Life: Praying or Wishing? (download)
Have you ever wondered why people of all persuasions and belief systems pray? The short answer is, because we can’t help ourselves. It is instinctive. But what does the person ‘In Christ’ look like when they pray? Do we approach God differently? Do we pray different kinds of prayers? This message addresses these questions.
Brad Brinson, 2/28/2010
Transform Your Life: Get It In You (download)
The big question for many of us is: "How do I remain in Christ… how do I walk with Jesus daily so I can see the works He has made for me to do?" Sometimes we underestimate the basics. When Jesus spent His last night with His disciples He made to things clear: To ‘remain’ in relationship with Him… His words would need to be in His disciples, and obeyed. This week we will consider why daily interaction with the Bible is essential for our daily spiritual lives ‘in Christ.’
Brad Brinson, 2/21/2010
Transform Your Life: In Christ (download)
Living ‘in Christ’ isn’t just a theological idea. When we are redeemed and caught up in what God is doing in the world, and His Spirit speaks to us and calls us to action, we enjoy the freedom to believe big things and bring God’s love to life in the most meaningful ways. When we are ‘in Christ’ we reveal the presence of God in the world.

Transform Your Life: The Process of Finding Your Life (download)
When does life start to make sense? This week, as we study the life of Moses, we will see that the chaos comes to clarity when Moses responds to God’s drawing of him. The journey of finding his life continues for Moses when he learns that obedience, even in the secret places is essential for life. Finally Moses graduates from a life of mere serving - to a friendship with God.

Transform Your Life: Becoming Yourself (download)
Do you have a gap? By ‘gap’ I mean, an awareness of the distance that stands between who you are, and who you desire to be. What if this awareness is actually one of God’s mercies? What it is one way God reveals to us who He is calling us to become? This week we will consider how God redeems us, how he masterfully uses His tools of person-shaping to close that gap between who we are, and who God is calling us to be.

Transform Your Life (download)
Have you ever asked yourself why young people are so filled with desire to make a difference in their world, but as they grow older they often lose a sense of purpose? Is it just a product of growing up? Or has something been stolen from us as we are affected by the forces of ‘the world’? The apostle Paul defined redemption as a transformation from conformity… of living a life that is filled with purpose, that is a force for good, pleasing, and fulfilling.
Brad Brinson, 1/10/2010
The Ultimate Resolution (download)
Today we look at the difference between being loved by God and pleasing God, as well as three things that please God; (1) Faith, (2) Relationship, (3) Obedience.

The Purpose of Christmas: Reconciliation (download)
“Peace on earth and good will toward men” is at the heart of the purpose of Christmas. The truth is, when we discover ‘peace with God’ the ‘peace of God’ follows. This then gives us the grace to forgive others…. Finding peace with others.
Brad Brinson, 12/20/2009
The Purpose of Christmas: Salvation (download)
Both the Shepherds and Joseph were told by angels, “He is the Savior.” But we don’t often ask, “Saved… from what?” This Sunday we will see that Jesus came to: Save us from sin, Save us by grace, and Save us for God’s purpose
Brad Brinson, 12/13/2009
The Purpose of Christmas: Celebration (download)
Sometimes the best questions to ask are the obvious ones. Like, “Why do we ‘do’ Christmas? What is its purpose?” This week we focus on what we celebrate: (1) God’s love for us, (2) That God is with us, (3) That God is for us. These foundational truths are refreshing to revisit… and they are why we ‘do’ Christmas!
Brad Brinson, 12/6/2009
Tithing (download)
Did you know that in the Old Testament tithes were never "given"? They were always "paid" as something that God was owed. Did you know that Jesus tithed? Tithing is the training wheels or generosity, and today we'll look at how important it is.
Brad Brinson, 11/22/2009
One Treasure, Two Choices, One Outcome (download)
Treasures are powerful magnets that have a tremendous pull on our lives one way or the other. They are never a neutral force. Our use of our treasures and our attitude toward them will either help or hurt our relationship with God. With treasure there is never any neutral ground. This is what Jesus wants us to understand.
T.J. Addington, 11/15/2009
Proof of Life (download)
Would you fit into the early church? One of the primary indicators of conversion sited by observers of the early church was- generosity. This week we will consider the multiplying power of generosity… and how acts of Spirit-led giving show a Proof of Life in us.
Brad Brinson, 11/8/2009
Where Grace Meets Buck (download)
Have you ever asked yourself, “Why does Jesus talk so much about money?” And, “Why do some people react so negatively against any preacher that talks about money?" What if our money is a spiritual battle ground? Could that be why Jesus talked about it more than any other topic, and we have such strong emotions regarding it? This Sunday we will look at the life of Zaccheaus. He was a guy whose whole perspective about money was changed when grace met his bucks. This is an amazing story of Pocket Change

Relentless: Homecoming (download)
Have you ever noticed that we chafe against the limits time, grow angry when a friend dies, and are saddened that beauty is so fleeting? Could these by symptoms? Could it be that we are homesick for our true home? This week we consider the big theme of Luke 15, our Relentless Pursuing God invites us home.
Brad Brinson, 10/25/2009
Relentless: Burn the Horse! (download)
When we are hurt we can respond in three different ways, we can seek revenge, we can become bitter, or we can forgive. Jon Teague continues our look at the Prodigal Son in Luke 15, and how forgiveness releases two prisoners at once.
Jon Teague, 10/18/2009
Relentless: I Call You "Son" (download)
When God calls you a ‘son’ what does that metaphor encompass? When Jesus stood before His 1st century audience and told them a parable about two sons and their relationship with their father, his audience had cultural ideas about ‘sonship’ that differ from ours today. That means, for us to ‘get’ Jesus’ expectations and promises regarding our ‘sonship’ in God’s family, we need to do some cultural detective work.
Brad Brinson, 10/11/2009
Relentless: Coming to Our Senses (download)
Have you ever asked yourself: “How does life-change begin?” The answer is, with a ‘moment’… followed by a ‘process’…. That is repeated and relived as a ‘lifestyle.’ This week we look at: The moments God initiates, The process of repentance, And how repentance is not a one hit wonder… but a lifestyle.
Brad Brinson, 10/4/2009

Relentless: Pursued (download)
What you believe about God is the most important thing about you. If you believe God is an angry judge, a laid back acceptor of all, or a remote deity… you are shaped by your belief. Furthermore, what you believe will shape the way you interact with others. This week we begin RELENTLESS a seven week study of Luke 15.
Brad Brinson, 9/13/2009

Defending Against Jesus (Disequilibrium) (download)
We all seek equilibrium… the question is, when we are thrown off balance by God, to we fight to get back to our old familiar center of gravity, or do we shift our weight and change? In Mark’s gospel, as we study a little deeper, we discover that Jesus is unsettling people. He is creating profound ‘disequilibrium.’ He still does this. The question is, how do we restore equilibrium in our lives.
Brad Brinson, 6/14/2009
Welcoming the Taxman (download)
So who did Jesus come for: ‘Religious people’, or ‘sinners’? The Pharisees would have said ‘religious people’, so when Jesus ‘welcomed’ the biggest creep in town to become one of His disciples, it was a scandal. This Sunday we look at Mark 2, as Jesus welcomes Levi (aka Matthew, The Tax Man) to be one of his disciples, and Jesus reveals there are only one group of people He doesn’t call to…

Declaring, Demonstrating, Deputizing! (download)
Jesus made no bones about it. He came to liberate people from Satan’s rule over the earth, bringing them under the rule of God. And Jesus didn’t just do this then leave taking His authority with Him. He deputized! This week we will look at Jesus’ invitation to be free from Satan’s control, and we will look at three practical ways that we can remain under the covering protection of Jesus.
Brad Brinson, 5/3/2009
Positioned to be Called (download)
This is the second in our series on the red-letter words of Mark’s Gospel, “He Said What?” This sermon considers ‘the call’ of Peter, Andrew, James and John. Is it true that Jesus approached these four men as perfect strangers, used Vulcan mind control, and drew them like zombies to follow Him …Or is there more to the story? We will consider what the other Gospel narratives add to fill in the blanks…
Brad Brinson, 4/26/2009
Thinking Again About Practiced Avoidance (download)
This Sunday we begin a new series! We will be studying the ‘red-letter’ words of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark with a series entitled: He Said What? We kick off with Mark 1:14-15. This is a foundational passage for understanding the purpose of Jesus.

Easter Sermon - Reconditioned Response (download)
Over time we get ‘conditioned.’ Pavlov discovered you could do it with bells and dogs. Satan seeks to condition us to run from God when we feel our sinfulness. The Easter story is all about Jesus’ ‘reconditioning’ of humankind… and Peter is our poster child. Why is Peter’s failure so central and so associated with the Easter message? Because his redeemed life was famous. This Easter we look at Peter’s ‘conditioned response’ his failure… and Jesus ‘reconditioning’ of Peter.
