Reaching Out Together…Next Door and Around the World
Outreach is a way of life…not an event. Our desire is to see everyone that calls this church home to be involved in some way beyond the walls.
Neighborhood Bible studies, serving at a women’s shelter with your Growth Group or going on a short-term trip to teach English are some of the ways our people are serving. We want to have a few partners we can serve with relationally on a long term basis. Our preference is to go deep with a relatively few ministries.
The Externally Focused Church…
What is an externally focused church? Externally focused churches are internally healthy, but also have a vision that transcends their gathering places to reach out to “the least of these.” They are highly creative in seeking new ways to become a part of the fabric of their communities in an effort to expose others to the tangible love of Jesus Christ. They are open to changing the way they think and operate to realize these goals. They seek enduring relationships with their neighbors in an effort to earn the right to be heard in the public square, where Jesus spent a good part of His time. http://www.externallyfocusednetwork.com
