Purpose:
Our purpose and vision at Two Rivers Church is to be a catalyst in the lives of people by our actions, bringing them to a saving encounter with the Lord Jesus. Since 2006, 2RC has partnered with Urban Impact Ministries, by sending mission teams to help rebuild businesses and homes that were destroyed by Katrina and, in turn, touching many lives for Christ. We also sends teams to pray for those who are on the front lines of ministry in New Orleans. Praying for individuals and doing teaching and training in prayer walking and intercession.
Testimonies:
We worked in teams, making friends quickly because of our common desire to help people who had lost so much. They were grateful for the help and we were blessed that every one of us could contribute. Our help made people smile as they realized their buildings were coming back. Money contributions help, of course, but contributing time and effort returns lasting memories. It was a rewarding experience.

The ladies hugged us and cried. You remember that life is fleeting and precious and the people who survive do so by a strong minute-by-minute reliance upon the Lord. The flowers we planted give a reminder of hope and the knowledge that someone came to lift up their arms and walk with them in the battle.

Prayer Requests:
~For people of New Orleans pray against demons of darkness that dominate the area. Pray for spiritual and physical strength for those serving with Urban Impact and Castle Rock Ministries. Pray for the salvation of the drug lords and all those in the surrounding area of Urban Impact Ministries. Pray that all monetary needs would be met for new construction projects.
~For the teams that go out, pray for guidance and wisdom in recognizing and carrying out the tasks that God has for them. Also pray that they will demonstrate a spirit of humility, love and unity in all that they do. Lastly pray for good health and spiritual strength.
