Stephen Ministries equips lay people to provide caring and confidential one-on-one Christian care to persons in our community who are experiencing difficulty in their lives, or going through major life changes.

The Rough Times
|
- Are lay people who have 50 hours of training in providing spiritual and emotional care.
- Walk beside you when you are going through a difficult time or major life change.
- Are caring, Christian friends who listen to, pray for, support and encourage you.
- Will be there for you and meet faithfully with you every week as long as there is a need.

Everyone experiences rough spots in their lives. These are common experiences that Stephen Ministers provide care for, but is in no way an exhaustive list.
- Loss of a loved one.
- Hospitalization
- Divorce or separation
- Unemployment or a job crisis
- Discouragement
- Incarceration
- Chronic or terminal illnesses
- Relocation
- Accident and disaster recovery

At this time Two Rivers is recruiting lay people who would like to consider Stephen Ministries. Our first class will start on October 21, 2009.
